Pownalls is our very own fine food and cook shop - a store cupboard of delicious delights hard to resist. Our aim is to bring you the best locally sourced, fresh produce, all the basic essentials plus an array of speciality foods to indulge and delight.
Speaking of indulgences, if you fancy something a little naughty try some of our cakes and delicious breads, devour a bar of the finest rich chocolate from Green & Blacks and Lindt or simply dip into a pack of Tyrell’s and Burt’s fried crisps for a truly scrumptious crisp experience.
Mouth watering yet? Well it doesn’t end there, for delicious cheeses, olives, cooked meats and pate visit our deli counter. If there’s too much choice, try a sample of what you fancy first to help make up your mind.
For some meat madness, we’ve got delicious fresh pork sausages, bacon and pork pies from local farmers and free range turkeys and chicken. All our meat is sourced from local suppliers.
We’ve extended our frozen range due to popular demand to include more Cooks Ready Made Meals; delicious ready meals to cook from frozen, that really do taste homemade. Whether you prefer braised beef in brandy and mushroom sauce, salmon and asparagus gratin or a simple macaroni cheese, these meals are perfect for dinner parties or a quite night in.
If your preference is for real home cooking we’ve also added to our range of store cupboard essentials including fresh bread, cream and milk as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.
In the cook shop we have everything from utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware, picnicware, placemats and storage jars, choosing from the best of ranges like Maxwell Williams, Typhoon, Kitchen Craft and T&G Woodware.
